Hi, I’m Valarie
My passion for skincare is personal. Growing up, I struggled with acne and the discoloration it left behind. I know how frustrating it can be to try product after product and still not feel confident in your skin. That experience is actually what led me to become a Licensed Esthetician more than 15 years ago.
Over the years, I’ve made it a priority to go beyond basic esthetics training. I’ve sought advanced education from dermatologists, master estheticians, and skincare professionals throughout the U.S., with a special focus on understanding how to safely and effectively treat skin of color, hyperpigmentation, dark spots, acne, and uneven skin tone.
I’ve had the opportunity to help hundreds of clients improve their skin, and one thing I’ve learned is that no two complexions are exactly alike. That’s why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatments or simply giving you another facial. I take the time to understand your skin, what you’ve tried, what may be contributing to your concerns, and what your skin actually needs.

During your first appointment, we'll complete a comprehensive skin analysis, discuss your goals, evaluate your skin, and begin conditioning your skin for future corrective treatments.

Healthy skin responds better to corrective treatments.
Before recommending stronger treatments such as chemical peels or microneedling, your skin must first be properly conditioned.
This helps improve treatment outcomes while supporting healthier skin throughout your program.

Are chemical peels safe for darker skin tones?
Yes. Chemical peels can be safely performed on skin of color when the right peel, strength, preparation, and treatment plan are selected for your skin. I specialize in working with skin of color and take a conservative, customized approach. The goal is to improve your skin without unnecessarily triggering irritation or additional pigmentation.
I’ve never had a chemical peel before. What should I expect?
You’re not alone—many of my clients come to me for their very first chemical peel. I’ll evaluate your skin first, explain what I recommend and why, and walk you through what to expect before, during, and after treatment. You won’t be expected to know which peel you need. That’s my job.
Can you help with stubborn dark spots and hyperpigmentation?
Hyperpigmentation is one of my primary areas of focus. Instead of simply treating the dark spot you see, I look at your overall skin condition, history, current products, and possible triggers. From there, I create a personalized treatment and home-care plan designed to gradually improve discoloration while protecting the health of your skin.
What if I’ve already tried a lot of products and nothing has worked?
That’s actually very common. Many clients come to me after spending significant time and money trying different products, facials, or online recommendations without understanding why their skin isn’t improving. My approach is different: we start by evaluating your skin and building a focused plan rather than continuing to guess.
How do I know which treatment is right for my skin?
You don’t have to figure that out before you come in. Your first visit is about understanding your skin, your concerns, your goals, and what it can safely tolerate. I’ll recommend the treatment approach I believe is appropriate for you and explain why, so you can feel comfortable and informed about what we’re doing.
